Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/White's sign
Appearance
This is a bogus or at least unverifiable article by an anonymous user. The "cerebrospinal fluid in otorrhea or rhinorrhea" is a well known symptom, but is not known as "White's sign". See for instance medhelp. The reference is to an article by "White" in an unlocated journal "HCA Head and Neck Compendium", supposedly from 1990 although the otorrhea/rhinorrhea symptom appears to have been known for a hundred years. There was a mention of White's sign on WhoNamedIt but that has been removed; see google cache for old copy. This is an article apparently in support of a possible vanity article Fred Ashley White, see below. There is more discussion of this on Cleanup/October 4. -R. S. Shaw 23:48, 2004 Oct 16 (UTC)
- Delete. As above; the diagnostic significance of CSF rhinorrhea or otorrhea was known long before the supposedly eponymous "F.A.White" could say "Dada". - Nunh-huh 00:16, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: Furthermore, the White reference is to maxilofacial injury. The sign of the fluid is, as above, an old, old sign, and it would be to the skull. A hoax. Geogre 04:14, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
