The result of the debate was
This seems like a vanity page. There is a lot of non-notable information here. No external links are given, so verification of any of this material is difficult at best. However, I should point out in fairness that there have been a number of edits to the article, from several user names. Johntex 01:51, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
keep (I wrote the original entry for this article) this went through VfD several months back, see the discussion as Glenn NoLastName, consensus was to keep and move to Glenn and redirect from Bongo the Clown. Pedant 02:16, 2005 Jan 11 (UTC)
delete (Note - I am the one who listed today for deletion)
- The previous vote did not seem to adress the issue of deletion very thoroughly
- I read through the original debate on deletion.
- It does not seem the question got many votes either way.
- A lot of the discussion was on related issues, such as the propriety of publishing a picture of a clown's makeup, the distinction between the clown and the performer, etc.
- I am having trouble finding any evidence this person merits an encyclopedia article.
- I tried using Google to determine how well known the person is, but it is difficult when there is just a single name.
- Is there any external link that could be added to the article to help establish that this is a notable person? There are none in the article as it stands.
- What is it that makes this person notable? Reading the article, the "invention of fiddlestix" seems to me to be the most likely candidate, however, I see no substantiation. Can this claim be substantiated by an outside link?
- Googling on "Glenn fiddlestix juggling" turns up no hits other than Wikipedia.
- Googling on "Glenn fiddlestix clown" turns up no relevant hits other than Wikipedia.
- Googling on "Glenn fiddlestix inventor" turns up no relevant hits.
- Further, Fiddlestix is claimed as a registered trademark by a [toy company] for a toy that is not even related to juggling.
- Also, the link in the article to fiddlestix contains the claim "Fiddlestix, the most advanced, and 'modern' design [of Devil Sticks. No evidence is given to substantiate this claim at all. In fact, a google search for "fiddlestix devil sticks" garners yeilds <100 hits, none that seem to substantiate the claim.
Adding it all up, there seems to be a legitimate question of whether this person is truly notable enough for an encyclopedia entry. Johntex 03:15, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Delete, not notable. Megan1967 04:03, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Keep, it's helpful and informative. Wyss 04:39, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. Seems barely notable. --JuntungWu 12:29, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Weak keep. There's enough information on here to warrant an article. --Deathphoenix 20:44, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Keep If only because then I'd be left wondering who Glenn is in the caption of the neat picture in the Devil Sticks article. It's nominated because it only seems like a vanity page, which doesn't mean that it is. It's quite an interesting read, and he even designed the lamps in Cheers! That's notable in my book. (Also, you can never have enough people known by one name.) — PMcM 23:33, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Consensus to Keep - I'll remove the delete tag. Johntex 23:50, 14 Jan 2005 (UTC)
