[edit]Thanks for your contribution. I've tried to put it into the form required for the encyclopedia. Sorry to have destroyed some of the lyricism, but it wasn't demonstrably factual enough. I hope you'll help me to rectify this by sharing your knowledge.

What makes it interesting? What makes it formulaic? Whose formula is being employed?
- To an extent, it reflected the constraints on working class womens' aspirations
- or perhaps lit up the fact that many people do not get the chance to aspire to anything other than the humdrum lives they walk in to as they walk away from school.
I've put this into the article
- ...which transported me back to my childhood when at the end of shift, the mainly female workforce would spill onto Bridle Road in their blood stained whites, lighting up their fags and sqinting at the sun if it was out.
Do you know of any documented accounts of such occurences (e.g. in the local history dept of a nearby library)? Those could be referenced and quoted. You might write an article on "chicken factories". Then you could link to it from Northern foods [1] or similar.
