White Ensign Myth
This ship is not the only US ship to fly the White Ensign of the Royal Navy, during the cold war NATO exercises such as Ex Springtime Express, ships of the US Coastguard were often put under Royal Navy command and flew the White Ensign, this was featured in Janes Defence Weekly in or around 1984 Pandaplodder (talk) 08:46, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
