Although the term receives a large number of google hits, I feel that it's not exactly a well-defined concept--what is it aside from "someone who plays guitar really well"? The examples will always be subjective, and the term as such isn't really in need of explication. Delete as a non-topic. Meelar (talk) 21:47, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)
- I actually have a 'guitar gods' section on my 'music I like' page (here), but the difference in who's on the list proves Meelar's point. Delete. Niteowlneils 22:40, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Guitar god = guitar virtuoso. Virtuoso has some of the same names, making this article just a slang term. Delete. -- Robert Pendray 23:38, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)

- A history of the term might be interesting and encyclopedic, though. -- Jmabel | Talk 02:32, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: The discussion would have to be either very short (dictdef) and therefore a delete or inherently POV and therefore a delete. Geogre 04:43, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- "Exceptional ability" eh? That is certainly a matter of opinion. Delete POV article. Fire Star 05:20, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, it is an ill-defined term and is inherently POV. Rje 18:51, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, or maybe redirect to something. Category:Guitarists, for example, could be a destination. Probably better to just delete though. Tuf-Kat 19:12, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
