metalcore

[edit]

I think metalcore should be a primary genre on the pages genre section. I provided sources from both killswitch engage’s website and from loudwire. It even says in the musical styles and themes section that they “primarily play metalcore and heavy metal” Davatki (talk) 20:59, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We don't need both - they're extremely redundant to each other. We similarly wouldn't usually list a band as both "rock" and "alternative rock" - we usually go with the more specific version that can be sourced (alt rock) because people generally know, or can gather, that yeah, alt rock is a type of rock music. Same applies here. Sergecross73 msg me 22:46, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

i agree with that too but the band uses both genres and they actually have several different characteristics like how “the amity affliction” is melodic metalcore and they sound completely different from killswitch engage. The band uses more traditional metalcore than they do melodic metalcore — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davatki (talkcontribs) 02:16, 28 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
