Copyright? This reads awfully like a press release.
In fact, except for the last short sentence, this article is completely NPOV, using US terminology and US misinterpretation of words. It should be pointed out that "democracy" in this context means "free-market economy under Western orbit", but the US historically hides the truth and changes terminology.
Imagine that Cuba starts a programme to finance their concept of democracy (that is as valid as the US one) in the USA, that would be seen as a violation of international law and States sovereignity, but in this case it is olimpically ignored.
Cuba is not even close to being a democracy. If you speak out, you're thrown in jail or killed. Did you ever wonder why nobody is fleeing *to* Cuba or Belarus but only *away* from these countries? Valentinian(talk)22:55, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cuba is a lot more democratic than that military junta thats been in power in the USA since the 1800s. Everybody knows the Republican party and Democratic party are one and the same and only exist to provide an illusion of democracy. The only people who try to 'flee' Cuba are criminals who know the powerful USA media will glorify them and use them as propaganda once they get there. Warren8520:22, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
