[edit]The beach at Narrabeen - one of the best surfing beaches in Sydney - is actually divided into two (Narrabeen and North Narrabeen) by a sizable inlet opening into Narrabeen Lagoon. What makes it particularly great is structure of the lagoon opening, generating a continuous rip that takes surfers to the back of the line up - personally my favourite surfing spot in Narrabeen
- I removed this text and replaced it with "North Narrabeen beach is commonly used for surfing competitions." My complaints with the original sentence: many Sydney beaches are as good as North Narrabeen; the two beaches mentioned are not divided by anything, let alone the lagoon entrance; and there are three beaches in one continuous stretch (the two mentioned, plus Collaroy). -- Gavin Sinclair
