- Support, there's no reason to redirect ".so" to "SO" when there's a perfectly legit article for ".so". Cburnett 07:36, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)

ml.org
[edit]I can't see what the paragraph about ml.org has to do with the .so TLD. I suggest that it should be deleted unless the owner can come up with some kind of relationship. Sfgreenwood 09:07, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- You're joking, I presume. Look at the whois - the .so TLD is still under the control of the defunct ml.org - aka Monolith Innovations. That's why it's down. So yes, it has a very clear relationship, sadly. --205.150.76.42 22:27, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
This is currently not true. It has three DNS servers per the root DNS:
so. 172800 IN NS NS1.GRANITECANYON.COM. so. 172800 IN NS NS2.GRANITECANYON.COM. so. 172800 IN NS MERCURY.ML.ORG. NS1.GRANITECANYON.COM. 172800 IN A 205.166.226.38 NS2.GRANITECANYON.COM. 172800 IN A 69.67.108.10 MERCURY.ML.ORG. 172800 IN A 209.68.0.85
mercury.ml.org currently responds to .so requests with a "refused" error, ns1.granitecanyon.com does not know about .so, and ns2.granitecanyon.com does not respond to any request. Jqrt 17:28, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- The DNS listed on ml.org's registration finds no such machine as "mercury.ml.org" - I tried them all... --66.102.80.239 05:24, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
nic.so still exists
[edit]The page at nic.so still exists, the article needs to be updated to reflect this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.224.100.113 (talk) 19:00, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- At the moment, every domain name server for *.so is unusable, except for mercury.ml.org which has been unreliable at best. By all means, be italic in editing pages to add any new information, but .so does not look promising at the moment. --66.102.80.212 (talk) 22:39, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
