User talk:Stako
Hello Stako,
welcome on Wikipedia. Thanks for wrinting articles on notable Polish biologists. I am looking forward reading more in your article about Waclaw Szybalski. Unfortunately, your article Rudolf Stefan Weigl contained big pieces of text copied from various webpages and was thus deleted on the grounds of copyright pviolations (now it redirects to a independently written article about the same person). You may want to consult Wikipedia:Copyrights to understand better Wikipedia policies. Have fun editing. Brona 03:22, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Banach.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Banach.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fred-Chess 08:53, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Semper fidelis
[edit]... tyle tylko że o Semper Fidelis też były boje, więc nie ma czego poprawiać. Polecam choćby archiwum Wyborczej, trochę o tym pisali. //Halibutt 14:17, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Lwow
[edit]Hi there.. lwow http://www.lwow.com.pl/ is this your work? If so, in June 05, Lwow Polish cemetery was given back in your former land to you, but only on paper, ok... did ukrainian government allow polish lion and flag to stand outside Orleta cemetery, if not, what's the use, you must demand that it's there. Also, the western part of Poland was taken away by soviets, can you reclaim at least part of it, there is one part that looks as if somebody ate it up, like crackers... I mean germany is demanding something similar, so why did your government give up so easily just like that...after war, after all, the soviets did not do a damn thing to liberate you...
File source problem with File:Weigl-Lwow.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Weigl-Lwow.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:33, 11 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 19:33, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
