[edit]I am looking for help in finding out information on my family - Kapke. My father is Klaus Karl Heinz Kapke and my grandmother was Charlotte Anna Elisabeth Kistel Kapke. They came to the United States from Eberswalde, East Germany in 1954. My grandfather was Karl Heinz Kapke. He was in the Nazi army and died 1n 1941 in Berlin. I don't know much about the Kapkes. Don't know who my grandfathers parents were or if their were siblings. Looking to find where Karl Heinz Kapke might be buried, since he was a Nazi. Also, I know he lived with a woman right before he died. Know the address, but don't know anything about the woman, but do know they had a little girl either in late 1940 or early 1941, before he died. How do I find out about birth certificates during that time? Can anyone offer me any help? I'd appreciate it greatly! Marilyn (Kapke) Mikel mmikel@skyenet.net
