Article needs significant improvement
[edit]There is some information in the article, but it has been randomly collected, and it is questionable about the value of some of the information. Very few sections are adequately sourced. This is a start class article:
An article that is developing but still quite incomplete. It may or may not cite adequate reliable sources.
More detailed criteria:
The article has a usable amount of good content but is weak in many areas. Quality of the prose may be distinctly unencyclopedic, and Wikipedia:Manual of Style compliance non-existent. The article should satisfy fundamental content policies, such as Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Frequently, the referencing is inadequate, although enough sources are usually provided to establish verifiability. No Start-Class article should be in any danger of being speedily deleted.
Provides some meaningful content, but most readers will need more. Providing references to reliable sources should come first; the article also needs substantial improvement in content and organisation. Also improve the grammar, spelling, writing style and improve the jargon use.
To build the article, first decide what information should be included, and which information is unimportant (do we need a list of main streets - what is the criteria for deciding which streets to include, and what information to include?); then do research in reliable sources, and summarise the important information in appropriate sections, citing the sources used. Population
[edit]Hi. Could someone explain to me what's going on with the population numbers? The population of Santo Domingo is definitely higher than 937,320 people, or 2.5 million in the metropolitan area. These numbers are simply untrue and similar (although not identical) to the 2010 census, which was conducted 13 years ago. The numbers reflected on this article should only be those provided by the most recent census (conducted in 2022). Any other changes provided by any other source that is not the ONE (Oficina Nacional de Estadistica) should be deemed as completely unreliable. Richarddo1442 (talk) 20:01, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
