Disadvantages of EDS
[edit]EDS systems get affected easily by snow, ice or severe cold because EDS systems need ground coils. (ground coils are the weakest points) 58.138.45.196 (talk) 05:33, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- By all means, find a reliable source for that assertion, and add it to the article. Tim PF (talk) 07:22, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Attribution
[edit]Regarding this edit: it is probably correct but who was it who actually added "{{main|electromagnetic levitation}}" this article? Please reply. Also what do you mean in the edit summary by "his article" please learn about ownership - you may, by all means refer to "his edit" but not to "his article". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:46, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure who added the link. Levitation melting can, however, be performed by any levitation method. Aerodynamic levitation, electrostatic levitation or electromagnetic levitation, for example, are all very commonly used as containlerless methods for melting and measuring the structure and properties of liquid matter. I think it's quite clear that the whole concept of different levitation methods and the method of levitation melting needs general cleanup and clarification. - Since it was only a stub, I have now mergeed Electromagnetic levitation into a section in Levitation, with correct attribution.Polyamorph (talk) 10:36, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
disadventages of EDS maglev trains
[edit]These EDS maglev trains have disadvantage that it produces magnetic field that can effect the electromagnetic waves produced by phones, radio, and other electronic devices. Puspalmanna23107A (talk) 03:03, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
