Under "personality and public image" it says "As president, Johnson vetoed 30 bills; no other president in history vetoed so many bills and never had a single one overridden by Congress." The fact that Johnson had openly confirmed in September 1967 he did not want to run for a second full term must be mentioned in the article. ParsleySt1 (talk) 17:08, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The article makes it sound as though he dropped out because of the poor result, when in reality he had announced six months earlier he might not stand again. In any case he later admitted he could not run for another term as he knew he would not survive it. (ParsleySt1 (talk) 16:42, 19 September 2024 (UTC))[reply]
