Philosophy
[edit]First and foremost, I believe that Wikipedia is in an extreme need for cleaning up. This includes things such as editing, categorization, polishing articles so that they are in a presentable and readable state, etc. Edits include grammar edits, spelling corrections, capitalization, syntax, and other corrections that make articles in following with standard English.
Second of all, Wikipedians: Watch what you do on this website! Do not make it hard for other fellow editors by having them clean up something they have not made! Please clean up your own mess!
Manual of Style (dates)
[edit]Hi, I'd like to encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Manual of Style (dates) before you change the way dates are formatted and linked in articles, as you recently did to E (mathematical constant). Some relevant aspects of the guideline include: (1) We don't usually link bare years unless there is a good reason to do so; (2) The reason we link full dates, such as [[May 31]], [[2008]] is because the MediaWiki software is able to automatically format the date based on user preferences. siℓℓy rabbit (talk) 15:39, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
