A quick web search
[edit]A quick Google search shows that the anon who wrote this stub is not the only person who perceives a lot of LBGT subtext in the movie. However, the idea that they cast a lesbian in the role of the lead's GF to make the subtext happen is unsustainable; Amanda Bearse did not publicly come out until 1993, eight years after Fright Night. Why was "Cast" locked?
[edit]Someone should put "Jonathan stark (actor)"
Someone should start articles on Herb Jaffe
Kent Beyda Jan Kiesser add picture to heidi sorenson and add whole cast of Fright Night. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.196.211.189 (talk) 15:07, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
rejected Ghost Librarian puppet?
[edit]which puppet is the rejected Librarian Ghost puppet in Fright Night? Is it the werewolf or the main character's girlfriend's transformation at the end? - RVDDP2501 20:21, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Synopsis
[edit]Somebody has really fudged things up with the synopsis. It's definitely going to need a lot of fixing. Shaneymike (talk) 19:19, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- I undid a lot of the edits made by user 97.80.75.183 with the plot because they really made things a mess. Shaneymike (talk) 19:36, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
This line does not make sense.
[edit]"Marti Noxon wrote currently on the script of the remake." 203.35.82.136 (talk) 22:32, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
move page?
[edit]Should "Fright Night" be made the disambiguation page rather than "Fright Night (disambiguation)" and/or should this article be moved to "Fright Night (1985 film)"? If there's any objections or suggestions on this topic post them here, otherwise I'll take those steps in a week. JesseRafe (talk) 18:00, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Remake Section
[edit]Odd, this page has more information on the remake than the page for the remake itself. Mr. Sorry Tilde Isn't Working. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.25.114.131 (talk) 18:16, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 5 external links on Fright Night. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

Stage play
[edit]Since this edit by IP 207.255.50.175 on October 19, 2018, some editors (IP 161.69.123.15 and Jmshoberg) have been trying to re-add content about a stage play to the article each time, but it has been removed each time. The content appears to be about local stage adaptation of the movie being performed in Pittsburgh per this article cited as a source. Maybe adding a sentence or two about it is worth consideration, especially if it can be shown as being something that is goes beyond Pittsburgh and just doesn't end up as local theatre, but right now mentioning it appears to be a bit WP:UNDUE, WP:NOTEVERYTHING.
There may also be a conflict of interest issue as well since the content added states the play is directed by James Michael Shoberg and that one of the actors is Carrie L. Shoberg. The aforementioned article describe the group putting on the play, The Rage of the Stage Players, as the directors "own fringe theatre group". If the IPs and Jmshoberg are connected not only to each other but to the play or anyone associated with it, then there's an obvious conflict of interest and they should stop trying to add that content to the article and instead discuss it here. There is also a lot of WP:Namechecking going on as well since all of the persons associated with the play don't really appear to be Wikipedia notable enough to even be mentioned by name. It might be possible for a sentence or two to be added to the article, but not sure if a separate section is needed and I definitely don't think so many names need mentioning. Anyway, others are welcome to comment and offer their take on this. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:30, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the ping on my talk page. Something short seems OK and I'v added that. the WP:APPARENTCOI is strong with this one. Jytdog (talk) 23:17, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking a look. I tweaked what you added just a bit to better reflect the source and for other minor cleanup reasons. Your shorter version seems fine at least for now, but more content can always be added as needed if more sources are found. I don't think, however, that all the names should be re-added again without a consensus established to do so. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:33, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
- agreed! the content is appropriate for one local ref. Jytdog (talk) 01:46, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
