Fair use rationale for Image:Leaderhulk.gif
[edit]Image:Leaderhulk.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Need of rewrite
[edit]Something about this section doesn't seem right:
He dispatched his ally the Chameleon to capture the Hulk for study.[1] His face was then revealed, and he constructed and sent his android Humanoids to capture the Hulk.[2] He dispatched a horde of Humanoids to capture the Hulk and steal Bruce Banner's Absorbatron weapon.[3] The Leader soon encountered the Hulk face-to-face for the first time.[4] He dispatched a 500-foot Humanoid to subdue the Hulk.[5] However, he then rescued the Hulk from the Army.[6] He operated on the Hulk to save his life. He sent the Hulk to the Homeworld of the Watchers to raid the Watcher's technology.[7] The Leader was ultimately defeated by the device the Hulk brought back.[8]
But I'm not sure what should be done to fix it. Maybe a reduced usage of pronouns would help? 24.18.240.159 (talk) 02:24, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- I agree completely. Reads like it was written by a third grader. I don't know much about the leader, so I don't even want to try to rewrite this. Would someone with some knowledge on the subject please take a stab? CPitt76 (talk) 03:59, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- It seems most of the history part is just an announcement of his deeds, with no narrative tying them together. I'd take a stab at it, but I don't know the order of events. I tried to clean up the first few paragraphs, where the tense was all wonky, FWIW.DaedalusZM (talk) 19:08, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- More importantly, the entire thing needs to be massively reduced, it's just plot, and almost zero real-world information. ThuranX (talk) 22:35, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Fictional Character Biography is far too long
[edit]As of January, 2022 the Fictional Character Biography section of this article is extraordinarily long for an article of this type. The opening paragraph is extremely good, giving 3-4 sentences on the character's origin and concluding with "Calling himself the Leader, Sterns embarks on various ambitious criminal schemes, with the Hulk as his primary nemesis..." which is a good encyclopedic way to give a brief overview of the character for a first time reader.
And then the rest of the section seems to be multiple editors attempts to recite absolutely everything that has ever happened with this comic book character. As of this writing, the section has 3,913 words after the introductory paragraph. As of this week the Fictional Character Biography for Batman is only about 2/3rds as long (2,554 words)...for a character of considerably more importance and influence, and that has existed for decades longer, and in many, many more pages of original comics work.
I see the "section too long" tag has been there for over a year (it's dated Oct. 2020) so this is a known issue. I'm asking the editors who are active on this page to sharply reduce this section to much less than half of it's current size (and honestly, 3-5 paragraphs total would be more appropriate and comparable with other comic villain articles). I'll start reducing it myself if needed, but I suspect my cuts will be much sharper than others would wish.
Honestly, I'm happy with just the introductory paragraph to that section. -Markeer 00:48, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
