"coalition of nations" opposing the invasion of Irak
[edit]You added the following sentence to Germany:
- Germany and France were protagonists in the coalition of nations opposing the military intervention in Iraq, a war that was initiated to secure weapons of mass destruction. The cause of this military operation is now widely disputed in the public discussion within the U.S. and internationally.
I agree that the issue may be worth mentioning, but I find your choice of terms and words possible to improve. If noone else does, I hope to get time and energy to do so.
Regards!

Again you added correct information about the war in Iraq or the attack of the US on Iraq to the entry on Germany. Again the choice of words and mostly the place are a problem. I understand you strongly oppose the war and there is a lot to be said for your point of view. I have no problem with the facts behind them, and your correct note on wrong American/British presumptions, on the contrary: they deserve broad discussion elsewhere and are indeed discussed extensively under all relevant articles.
Even more important the picture from Bergen Belsen, right in today's Germany, which you deleted, is very relevant to the article Germany. Most of the people who worked in Bergen Belsen were Germans, some were Nazis and others were not, and the operation of the concentration camp and the entire 'Final Solution' were ordered by German government officials (including the idea by Hitler himself). I think this picture is very suitable for the page Germany, since it shows the horrors of the era in German history on German soil without knowing whether the murdered people that we see are Jews, Roma, disabled, homosexuals etc. In fact, Bergen Belsen served multiple persecuted populations. Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Victor Hugo. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Victor Hugo~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
