Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Rambot (talkcontribs) 22:12, 26 July 2003 (UTC)[reply]

Article is about the city, not the library

[edit]

I've purged[1] the excessive trivia, pricing, and service listings about the library system. The article is about the city, and that amount of material placed undu WP:WEIGHT on the library system within the city. Additionally, Wikipedia is not the webhost for the library system, they have their own website for details about pricing, fees, and trivial services - this article is not the place to place all that material. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 06:44, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

County Commissioners

[edit]

Bringing it to the attention of those who monitor this page, the county commissioner section needs to be updated. Constance and Deutsch have expired terms listed. Need to know if they were reelected, and if so, what their new terms are.

"The five current Commissioners for Charlotte County, Florida and terms of office expirations:

Ken Doherty (R), District 1, November, 2016 Christopher Constance (R), District 2, November 4, 2014 Bill Truex (R) District 3, November, 2016 Stephen R. Deutsch (R) District 4, November 4, 2014 Tricia Duffy (R) District 5, November, 2016"

Removed "communities"

[edit]

I removed two places from the list of communities. I could find nothing in a Google search for "Adrian Town", other than a couple of businesses in North Port that claim to service Adrian Town. "South Gulf Cove" is a neighborhood in Port Charlotte with an HOA. Neither fits the customary usuage of "community" used when listing communities in an article about a US county.
