To add in the "political views" section under personal life:

Armstrong has spoken out in support of trans people. In a conversation with the Times, Armstrong spoke to the ways that he’s still weaving his queerness into his songwriting. Naturally, the newspaper asked him about Green Day’s opinions on the moral panic over trans youth, to which the frontman responded, “I just think they’re fucking close-minded.”

“It’s like people are afraid of their children,” he told the newspaper. “Why would you be afraid? Why don’t you let your kid just be the kid that they are?”

Tour Dates were not cancelled

[edit]

The tour dates while he was in treatment were not cancelled, they were, at least some, postponed. I am sure of this, as I was at the first show they were back on tour, which was a rescheduled date. Some may have, but probably best not to phrase it as an all or nothing statement. 173.29.24.67 (talk) 19:25, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
