Talk:Ridge-push theory
The title of this article is ridge push, yet the article talks about ridge pull. Typo? I can't find ridge pull on the web, nor can I find any pages talking about ridge push with the word "DeSouza" on them. Crackpot theory with no credence? --Jkeiser 08:38, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- No, just a poorly written article. Gwimpey 18:38, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Seems like a poorly worded theory if it is one (more like a dumb idea). Don't think anything is pushing the plates apart - tensional features dominate. I would vote for deletion of this mess, as it makes the science appear muddle-headed. I googled ridge push and came up with some lame refs. - gravity pushes??? - get real. We can surely find better mechanisms to drive the plates than this.--Vsmith 02:46, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
