Opinions
[edit]"Is the best dystopian novel but for Orwell's 1984"... yeees. I haven't read Paradyzja, but I can think of several excellent dystopian novels. Which are the best? That's a matter of opinion... Grutness|hello? 06:07, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)
The article is worse than a stub - it is not giving the novel the description it deserves. Similarities to 1984 are not its main characteristic. Will re-write this article when I'll have more time. AndyBrandt (talk) 11:03, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Time
[edit]Why, exactly, were the minutes different lengths? 75.118.170.35 (talk) 16:22, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, clocks were actually using minutes of pseudorandom lengths, so for e.g. first minute had 57 seconds, second had 62, third 59 (around 60) etc., making it actually useful for checking the time (in average, time [hour:minute] was the same as real day time), but useless for measuring time in experiments. It *POSSIBLY* was regulated by computers to don't deviate to much from normal cycle of day, but it wasn't really explored in the novel, it was just used as a trick to disallow hero from proving hero that Paradise was actually built on a surface of planet, and also to show how terribly pardisians were oppressed.178.37.171.48 (talk) 23:16, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
